This is a lovely way of expressing your continued love for one another.
Your Personalised Renewal of Vows Ceremony
This ceremony is usually carried out in the presence of family and friends, and is suitable for outdoor or indoor venues, sometimes in a truly scenic location, such as Luss, at Loch Lomond. Mind you, indoors is often preferable, on a cold wet windy day.
The ceremony would give a description as to why you both want to re-affirm your love for each other. Vows that you made during your marriage ceremony could be repeated, or perhaps new vows, especially written by yourselves, for the occasion, reflecting your years of marriage.
The Vow Renewal Ceremony lasts approximately 30 minutes and is entirely subject to what is important to you both. As an example, children or grandchildren could take part, in reading a poem, which may have personal meanings for you both.
The Best Man and Bridesmaid, if still to the fore, could say a few words about your lasting relationship, they may also want to tell a funny story!
At the end of the ceremony, after the vows are exchanged, a symbolic “Jumping the Broomstick” can be included, symbolizing the Leap of Faith into the Future!
Often a couple may just want to reaffirm their vows, within a reserved area, at a hotel, before a celebration meal. The ceremony is completed, and the Celebrant will leave you and your guests to continue your celebrations. Dress for this occasion can be as informal, or as formal as you wish.
If this sounds like a fun, meaningful ceremony, then please remember, this need not be a dream, it can be your reality, an experience that you and your guests will long remember after the ceremony has ended.
Laura and John, Independent Civil Celebrants, in consultation with the happy couple, will write their ceremony, expressing the couples’ beliefs and values.
In other words, your ceremony, your style, your way. You are in total control over what is said.
Laura and John would be honoured to help you celebrate your continued love for each other, with a Vow Renewal Ceremony, whether it be within the Loch Lomond area, or the Trossachs, or indeed, your choice of location.
